Hi, I’m adrianna bevill.

My passion for teaching began early in life. What started with helping my peers revise their essays, soon led to volunteer tutoring, and eventually to a formal career teaching high-school English. Now, I focus my efforts on tutoring, as I believe spending one-on-one time with students, offering them lessons that are custom-built to fit their individual learning styles, gives them the opportunity to both enjoy learning and build skills that they can carry with them on their future educational endeavors. With experience tutoring students of every age and level, including students who are not yet fluent in English, I’ve gathered a repertoire of strategies that can be useful in a multitude of areas in the field of English Language Arts. My goal is not simply to teach, but to provide students with the tools they need to teach themselves.

In addition to tutoring, I work part-time as an EMT, enjoy spending long days at the barn with my horses, afternoons at the rock climbing gym, traveling with my family, working on personal writing projects, and settling down with a good book.

My mission

To help my students cultivate a love for language, stories, and learning, and to give them the skills they need to become successful self-educators.
